So...you've heard the talks since you were in elementary school. "SAY NO TO DRUGS!" I don't need to tell you that drugs are chemicals that will affect your brain. You were taught that drugs have short-term, immediate consequences and long-term consequences that will affect you for the rest of your life. You already know that one use can kill you.
So, why do people still try drugs?
The Foundation for a Drug-Free World states that some of the reasons that young people use drugs are to fit in, to escape, to relax, to relieve boredom, to appear grown-up, to rebel, and to experiment. Are you willing to risk your entire future for one of these reasons?

QUESTION THREE: What are some reasons young people use drugs? What would you tell someone who was trying to get you to use drugs?

There are many reasons why teens use drugs. Some say they use them to cope with depression or anxiety, or to help them to relax. Some say they help them deal with pressures. For example, some teens say they abuse stimulates to help them do better in school by keeping them alert and improving their concentration or they help control their weight. Some would say they help to do things like relieve pain or sleep better.
As for what can we do to prevent someone from using drugs. We need to lead by example if we examine our own behaviors to ensure we are a good example. If we use drugs people will notice. Become accountable to our friends and family. Share with them what you know about the risks and encourage each other to stay drug free. To finish, you need to endure. There will be opportunities for you use/abuse drugs within your lifetime. DON'T. At times it will feel like the "cool" thing to do. DON'T. Don't do drugs, not even once.
I think people use drugs so they can be cool. I would say no and walk away.
i think any drugs are illegal they shouldn't even be invented.it is a shame that they alive they are killing people by drounding the lungs.i hate the word. people need to get sober if they're doing drugs because they're terrible. why is there drugs made on earth is because people are crazy and they found something somewhere and smoked we never know who started drugs, but who ever did needs to be put in a hospital that makes people sober from drugs..... :)
why even have drugs on earth they kill people they just think it's the best for them there's a lot of abuse because of drugs. cigarettes shouldn't be invented either. i hate the DRUGS. People commit suicide because of them.... stop drugs:)
I would tell them I don't want to because your just herting yourself and others around you if I were you I would stop now before you hert yourself even more
I would tell them no and tell them to just try to stop now before it hurts your body worse than it probably already has
I think kids this age do drugs is that they want to look "COOL" around their friends. If someone asked me to do drugs ill say... NO!

illegal drugs are very dangerous because they can mess your mind up really badand you my not see your family agian or you might get lucky but i dought it.you must be really smart not to do drugs!!! don't mess your life up so you can be cool. be smart not dumb!!some people are dumb for using drugs.my family is torn apart becuase of drugs:(:( i am very sad and mad!! i wish drugs weren't even invented.people are losing their family because of drugs.
I think people use drugs so that they can feel better about themselves.Other people use it as a friend because they feel sad or depressed. Maybe they use it to make themselves be more popular
I think people that use drugs use them to fit in but they are realy not.No one wants to be friends with drug addicts.Thats wy i think people use drugs so say no TO DRUGS. And be cool

Well some young people use drugs because they thing it'll get rid of all their problems, make them look cool, and alot of the time friends talk you into it. It's also a problem in bigger cities that men and/or women are kidnapping children to make them do drugs so they can do terrible things to them. I also know from watching this video on drugs off of Netflix that you can easily make drugs with ingredients and some people take advantage of perscription drugs. Back in the days the soldiers would do drugs because they thought it made them feel powerful and they could go without sleeping for awhile. They stopped doing that because the soldiers were getting sick,dying, and couldn't see clearly during drills or war.You may thing that your life is terrible, but it's not as bad as dying or being miserable. If someone ever asked me if i wanted some drugs or to do drugs i would politely say no and quickly runaway to my mom or whoever I was with.
Some reasons people use drugs is so they feel good until the next day. I think drugs ruin families and friend ships. No one likes drug addicts or people that are strug out on pills they are thiefs and are just bad people that need help so they dont end up dead. so say no to drugs so you dont ruin you friend ships or families
some reasons why people use drug is too think and so other people think that they are realy cool but there not because all drugs do to you is ruin your body and the mess up your relation ship with friends and family.
Some people do drugs because to act kool infront of people.Also I had a cousin his name was Josh He was in Jail for six years.He told me not to do drugs and it is a very bad thing .It can messup Your reputation and life style between your family and you!! Your family will hate you or either try to get you help.Like me if when I grow up and have kids?,he will not be here when he is using those drugs and try to get help.It will make a bad reputaion to your kids and other kids.!!! Like if you try to influence people to do drugs and bribe them do NOT!,Say yes Say No!!!! If you want to be succsefull in life and have bestfriends,If you want to live for the rest of your life and also have kids say NO to DRUGS! If you watch those drug commercials those are very good to watch because those commercials put stuff in your brain to remember not to Do drugs,and what can happen to you and you can have bad stuff on your face,legs,and arms maybe every where all around your body.!!! teens say they use drugs is becuase it helps them relax and be possitve about them selves they say they could do what ever they want to do and they won't get a job because they used drugs and jobs don't hire people who do drugs on a dialy bases and don't want to work and may not come to work the very next day.they say they are but they don't come.they need help.
usually people use drugs to look cool but they never listen to what happens to people who have done drugs and you could end up dead...other times people use drugs because they think it can calm them down from depression from other kids at school bullying other kids and that is why you should never ever ever! use drugs because it could hurt you and your peers. that is why i wont ever do drugs
