My favorite author in the whole world is a guy by the name of Frank Peretti. Frank Peretti writes some scary stuff…books that you have to put away when it gets too dark outside. In 2000, Peretti shocked his readers by publishing a non-fiction book titled “The Wounded Spirit”. This book was Peretti’s autobiography and told the story of a young boy who, due to complications at birth, did not look or talk like everyone else. It told the story of a boy who suffered greatly because of the torment of fellow students at school.
I don’t need to tell you what BULLYING is…you know. I don’t need to tell you that BULLYING is wrong…you know that, too. So, why does it happen? Why do we get such pleasure from teasing other people…often for things they have no control over? Does it somehow make us better than them?
QUESTION ONE: Frank Peretti’s book about bullying is titled The Wounded Spirit. Why do you think he chose that title?

I think the author wrote the non- fiction book called "The Wounded Spirit because the boy was different from others and he might of got bullied. and my second thought is that the boy's heart was wounded of sadness and of shyness to go back to school.

I think it's called Wounded spirit because bullying doesn't hurt you phyically. It can be much worse. It damages your spirit, your vision of yourself, and causes you pain that is much more difficult to heal.
He proboly chose that title because when your bullied it hurts you feelings.
I love pictures that you posted.I used to have four pets but they ither died,they ran off or we had to give them away.I have four pets now.There names areUma,Curios,Molly,and Tasha they are very cute cuddley.Uma is a palmoranian,Curious is a black cat,Molly I am not quite sure what she is,Tasha is a yorkey. Tash is very shy so she hides under my grandma's and grandpa's bed she is so cute and cuddley.She somtimes hides one of the bathroom behind the toilet.

Maybe he named that because it was something that happened to him wqhen he was a child.
I think he might of named his book that cause he was like some of us kids. Going through nothing but stuff when he was in school. Bullied through his Middle School years. He could of got his heart broken to may times to be sure and secure. I think his non-fiction book callde the "The Wounded Spirit". I think he Wrote a non-Fiction book because he ws getting bored and wanted to give them a shock. So nothing can be to bad i guess.
i think that the author called the book "The Wounded Spirit" because the boy probably had his spirit crushed because he didn't look like them, or because he couldnt't talk right, or simply because it made them feel good about themselves, but it really doesn't, because all your simply doing is making your self look like a big jurk. If you want to make your self feel good, help someone out, because that's the best thing you can do to make your self feel good.

I think the author wrote the book because when someone bullied him it made him feel even sadder every time. Eventually he probably just kept everything to himself because he thought that he would be bullied even more if he said anything. That would make me feel left out if i was bullied for talk and looking differnt than everone else. Bullying can hurt you mentally and sometimes even phisically. Don't bully other kids.
